< TSA Catalog Section 5: Magazines, Ammunition and Grenades
Ammunition

TSA weapons are constructed of a combination of Fullerene-impregnated transteel and high-impact polymer resin, a combination which makes them very durable without being overly heavy. This durability comes with a correspondingly higher price tag, though, and TSA weapons must also be more carefully maintained because of the moving parts inside that are not found on energy weapons.

Note: TSA clips only come pre-loaded with either T101 High Explosive ammo (12.5mm) or T113 High Explosive ammo (10mm).

TSA Ammunition

There are six general ammunition types available:

T100 Series Ammunition: High Explosive

T101 12.5mm caseless High Explosive: This is the standard ammunition available today and can be chambered in almost all TSA weapons. This round is capable of fully automatic fire and also packs a significant amount of damage. It is also especially attractive because of its low cost. Note: All damages listed with TSA weapons are for this ammunition type except the TSA-170 "Shredder" SMG. For weapon damages with other rounds, please refer to the description of that round.

T102 12.5mm caseless High Explosive Armor Piercing: Very similar to T101 ammo but capable of more damage.
T113 10mm caseless High Explosive: A recent innovation that was designed to be compatible with the Wellington Industries line of submachine guns for those who wanted a little more crunch for their credit. However, Wellington weapons cannot fire full-auto bursts with T113 ammo; doing so will cause a jam which will take 1D4 melee rounds to clear (the solid propellant shatters in the weapon's chamber). Standard semi-auto bursts are possible.

T103 12.5mm caseless High Explosive Squash Head: Most effective on targets wearing hard body armor.
T130 12.5mm caseless Micro-Grenade: More commonly known as "Poppers", T130 Micro-Grenades are among the most potent rounds TSA has ever produced.

T158 22mm caseless High Explosive: This ammunition is used only in the TSA-200 Shiva and is available in 10-round non-reloadable clips. Please see the Heavy Weapons Section for more details.

T200 Series Ammunition: Armor Piercing

T217 12.5mm caseless Fullerene-Jacketed Titanium: Titanium slugs coated with a fullerene jacket which allows the rounds to fully penetrate body armor.

T244 12.5mm caseless Fullerene-Jacketed Tungsten: Similar to T217 ammo but capable of inflicting more damage due to a denser slug.

T300 Series Ammunition: Flechette Rounds

T301 12.5mm caseless Single Flechette (4mm): A light round capable of extreme range and significant damage.
T308 12.5mm caseless Armor Piercing Single Flechette (5.2mm): A larger, more dense projectile than in T301 ammo results in significantly more damage, at the sacrifice of full-auto capability.
T322 12.5mm caseless High Explosive Single Flechette (6mm): Similar to T308 ammo but loaded with a small amount of high explosive, increasing damage slightly.

T400 Series Ammunition: Special Purpose

T406 12.5mm caseless Polymer Anti-Personnel: Designed to eliminate living or 'soft' targets without significant collateral damage.

T416 12.5mm caseless Ceramic Anti-Personnel: Similar to the T406 but is capable of damaging Mega-Damage hard targets.

T466 12.5mm caseless Depleted Uranium: A heavy and expensive round, T466 rounds have been outlawed by the Coalition States as being too dangerous for use (not that this has stopped TSA from producing them).

T490 12.5mm caseless Memory Expander: A miracle of pre-Rift technology, memory expander slugs are among the greatest threats in existence to those wearing body armor. Being hit by one of these slugs will almost certainly maim or kill a human being.

T500 / T600 Series Ammunition: 15mm Caseless / 15mm Caseless Extended

Note: The primary difference between 15mm Caseless and 15mm Extended Caseless ammunition is that 15mm extended has twice the range of normal 15mm ammunition. The cost is increased by 25% over T500 ammunition, and the designation is T6xx instead of T5xx.

T501 15mm Caseless High Explosive: This is the standard ammunition available for the new line of 15mm weapons. This round is capable of fully automatic fire and also packs a significant amount of damage. It is also especially attractive because of its low cost. Note: All damages listed with TSA 15mm Caseless weapons are for this ammunition type. For weapon damages with other rounds, please refer to the description of that round.

T502 15mm Caseless High Explosive Armor Piercing: Very similar to T501 ammo but capable of more damage.
T503 15mm Caseless High Explosive Squash Head: Most effective on targets wearing hard body armor.
T512 6mm Caseless Single Flechette: A light round capable of extreme range and significant damage.

T513 6mm Caseless Beehive Flechette: Essentially a shotgun round, the T513 round fires eleven 6mm flechettes in a tight pattern to extreme ranges.

T516 8.2mm caseless Armor Piercing Single Flechette: A larger, more dense projectile than in T512 ammo results in more damage, at the sacrifice of full-auto capability.

T518 9.4mm Caseless High Explosive Single Flechette: Similar to T512 ammo but loaded with a small amount of high explosive, increasing damage slightly.

T523 15mm Caseless Fullerene-Jacketed Titanium: Titanium slugs coated with a fullerene jacket which allows the rounds to fully penetrate body armor.

T525 15mm Caseless Fullerene-Jacketed Tungsten: Similar to T523 ammo but capable of inflicting more damage due to a denser slug.
T531 15mm Caseless Micro-Grenade: More commonly known as "Mega-Poppers", T531 Micro-Grenades are among the most potent rounds TSA has ever produced, even more so than standard "Poppers".

T535 15mm Caseless Polymer Anti-Personnel: Designed to eliminate living or 'soft' targets without significant collateral damage.

T537 15mm Caseless Ceramic Anti-Personnel: Similar to the T535 but is capable of damaging Mega-Damage hard targets.

T540 15mm Caseless Depleted Uranium: A heavy and expensive round, T540 rounds have been outlawed by the Coalition States as being too dangerous for use (not that this has stopped TSA from producing them).

T544 15mm Caseless Memory Expander: A miracle of pre-Rift technology, memory expander slugs are among the greatest threats in existence to those wearing body armor. Being hit by one of these slugs will almost certainly maim or kill a human being.

T550 Tagger 15mm Caseless Round: A round that uses molecular adhesion to attach to a target and then sends out an ultra-low frexquency (ULF) pulse that allows T553 Tracker rounds to lock onto it and strike the designated target.

T553 Tracker 15mm Caseless Round: Designed for use in conjunction with T550 Tagger rounds, Tracker rounds can have any 15mm slug attached. They can pursue a target to the limit of the slug's normal range, even around corners or behind walls.

T558 Cracker 15mm Caseless Armor Seal Compromiser Rounds: Designed to compromise seals on body armor, power and robot armor, and military vehicles in order to introduce contaminants or chemical weapons into the interior.

T560 Shocker 15mm Caseless Electrical Capacitor Round: Delivers a large electrical charge to the target.

TSA 25mm Launched Grenades

TSA has an extensive line of grenades that can be used in the TSA line of weapons, the Coalition C-14 Fire Breather and CP-50 Dragonfire rifles, and both Northern Gun and Wellington Industries grenade launchers. In a pinch any TSA Launched Grenade can also be used as a hand grenade with a three-second fuse and a maximum range of fifty feet.
